Good Morning! I was going to write evening, how time flies. Check out our next bio
General Dwight David Eisenhower, fondly nicknamed Ike, was born on the 14th October 1890. He entered West Point military academy in June 1911 and graduated in 1915. Missing the fighting of World War One, he moved around within military circles, reaching the rank of Brigadier General on the 3rd October 1941. Mainly due to his administrative and organisational skills that had been recognised early in his career, when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor on the 7th December 1941, he was assigned to the General staff in Washington until 1942. In December 1943, President Roosevelt promoted him to Allied Supreme Commander in Europe, which he continued to be throughout the war. He wasn’t a great field commander, but his facilitating between the Allied powers prevented their petty bickering and infighting.
